Reading Fur Fun

Young Readers Wanted
Is your child a passionate animal lover but not quite old enough to volunteer? Reading Fur Fun is a special reading program that gives children the opportunity to improve their reading skills by enriching the lives of shelter dogs!
Children ages 8-11 can sign up to read to our dog friends at our Nina Mason Pulliam South Mountain Campus for just $10. This helps students practice reading and teaches important socialization skills to our dogs awaiting adoption.
Kids can be accompanied by one adult guardian each. Adult presence is not required and kids can be picked up following the program. No additional guests will be permitted.
Per CDC guidelines, visitors entering AHS property, including those who are fully vaccinated, are required to wear masks to ensure the safety of our staff and customers.
