Adopting a Pet is Easy and Absolutely Worth It.

Whether it’s a ball-chasing dog, a curious kitten or a cuddly critter, the Arizona Humane Society is bound to have the perfect pet for you.

Finding The Right Fit Is As Easy As Following These Four Steps:

Step 1:  Search our website and check out all of the adoptable dogs, cats and critters we currently have at our four adoption centers. Step 2: Visit one of our adoption centers to meet your pet. Step 3: Meet with an adoption specialist to ensure that your pet is the right fit for you. To help find your best match, feel free to bring your children and furry family members down to our adoption locations for a play date. Step 4: Begin loving your new family member. *Our adoption specialists are happy to work with you to find an animal that matches your lifestyle. We do ask that adopters be 18 years of age or older and able to provide photo identification.

Our Adoption Fees

Each of our adoptable pets go through a journey to reach the adoption floor. Some pets come through our doors and find a loving home in just minutes, while others need months of care in our Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital. Like many shelters across the country, we use variable adoption pricing with the understanding that one pet’s higher adoption fee will leave a financial legacy for other pets in need of extensive medical care or additional time to find their forever family. If you’re interested in one our pets, their adoption fee is listed on their online profile as well as their kennel.

Included in the adoption fee:

In addition to your new, loving companion, every AHS adoption fee includes: spay/neuter surgery, all current vaccinations, a bag of Hills Science Diet food, a free follow-up veterinary exam with VCA Animal Hospitals and special adopter discounts on programs and services.
