These Days, Berry Loves Spending Time Cuddling Up in Her New Family’s Bed.

This a much better place to keep warm than where she was originally found - in a car engine. Berry was discovered by a Good Samaritan in an engine when she was just 11 weeks old and brought to the Arizona Humane Society, where our Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™ medical team determined she was suffering from a diaphragmatic hernia, meaning her lungs were having a very difficult time inflating. Our vets repaired the tear in Berry’s diaphragm, and after several weeks recovering in our trauma hospital and then a Foster Hero home, this adorable little kitten is now enjoying the holiday season in Buckeye. But there are hundreds of other homeless and abused animals who are spending the holidays here at the shelter with us, who need your help. And today, you can help bring toys, food and holiday cheer to twice as many pets thanks to our good friends at VCA Animal Hospitals, who will match your gift up to $30,000! Your gift of $50 will help bring $100 worth of treats to our pets. And $100 will provide $200 in medicine to pets like Berry who are given lifesaving care in our trauma hospital.
