Talk about a transformation!

Sandy, an 8-month-old Schnauzer/Poodle mix, came to AHS as an injured stray and was unable to walk on her back right leg. Our medical team in our Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™ immediately examined Sandy upon arrival and concluded that her leg was fractured. Along with the many lifesaving programs and services AHS has to offer, AHS’ Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™ is dedicated to providing care for animals with nowhere else to turn. Sandy has undergone surgery and was treated for her leg fracture in AHS' Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™. After receiving the medical treatment she needed, Sandy got primped and trimmed by Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™ Pet Groomer and Docent Volunteer, Lisa, helping give Sandy a whole new outlook on life. sandy transformation Sandy is now recovering in the home of an AHS Foster Hero, where she enjoys lounging around and relaxing as she continues to recuperate in preparation for her special adoption day. Her fractured leg has been healing well and she has been getting stronger with every day that passes.
