Talk about a transformation! Sailor, a 3-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, was brought to the Arizona Humane Society as an injured stray. She had a fractured left back leg and a very heavily matted, dirty fur coat.  Needless to say, this poor girl was in desperate need of lots of TLC. Along with the many lifesaving programs and services AHS has to offer, AHS’ Second Chance Animal Hospital is dedicated to providing care for animals with nowhere else to turn. Due to the severity and placement of Sailor's leg fracture, her leg did end up needing to be amputated. Along with her surgery, Second Chance Animal Hospital Pet Groomer and Docent Volunteer, Lisa, took this pup under her wing and transformed her into a whole new dog, relieving her of her painful mats and unmanaged fur. Through the fur and mats revealed an adorable, sweet girl with so much love to give. She is adjusting well to the tripod life and is currently available for adoption and looking for her fur-ever home at our Petique at Biltmore Fashion Park. sailor transformation
