Transformation Tuesday: Pippa
Talk about a transformation!
Pippa, a ten-year-old Yorkshire Terrier was found by AHS EAMTs™ as an injured stray. When Pippa arrived at AHS, her coat was very matted and covered in filth. She was limping on her back left leg, had abrasions to her body and had a firm mammary mass. Needless to say, this poor pup was in desperate need of some TLC.
Along with the many lifesaving programs and services AHS has to offer, AHS’ Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™ is dedicated to providing care for animals with nowhere else to turn. Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™ Pet Groomer and Docent Volunteer, Lisa, took this pup under her wing and transformed her into a whole new dog, relieving her of her painful mats and unmanaged coat. Along with the grooming Pippa received, she also underwent surgery to have her mass removed and tested, which came back benign. Pippa also had a dental cleaning performed and was vaccinated. Through the mats and fur revealed an adorable, happy girl with so much love to give. Pippa was adopted on July 29th and will now live the life she deserved all along in Phoenix, Arizona.
