Pearl Came to AHS with Severe Hair Loss and a Horrible Case of Mange

This 4-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier was lethargic and timid, but very sweet. After some care from AHS' medical team and TLC from a loving Foster Hero, Pearl has made a complete transformation!   In addition to Pearl's hair loss and dry, flaky skin, AHS' Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™ found she had ticks on her skin and her teeth were worn down. Her skin allergies and demodectic mange called for daily medication, weekly baths, and plenty of snuggles to boost her confidence, and that's exactly what her Foster Hero did! After two months in AHS' and her Foster Hero's care, she was nursed her back to health and now has a gorgeous coat and a positive outlook on the future!

Pearl is looking for a fun-loving family who will take her on walks so she can explore and smell around to her heart's desire! She can be shy at first, but will quickly come out of her shell after some time in our play yards. Pearl will need to meet any other dogs or children she will be living with before going home, and she cannot go to a home with cats or critters.
