This holiday season, give our pets joy, compassion and hope by filling our shelter with love. As our dogs, cats and critters wait for Santa to bring them a forever home, you can make their stay a little warmer, a little merrier and a lot more special.   When you make a donation online today or at any of the 11 My Sister’s Closet, My Sister’s Attic, and Well Suited Valley locations, you are providing food, medicine, blankets, toys and treats for pets like Lulu, who is hoping she’ll be able to celebrate the holiday season with a new forever family.   Our Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™ rescued Lulu after receiving a call from a Good Samaritan who heard whimpers and cries coming from a dumpster. When our EAMTs arrived on scene, they didn’t hesitate to jump into the stinky, garbage-filled dumpster and began carefully rummaging through the trash in search of Lulu.   When they found the tiny, four-pound, 6-year-old Chihuahua underneath a bag of garbage, she smelled like sour milk and rotten food. She had been trapped in the dark for so long that her eyes were squinting from sudden exposure to the bright sunlight, and all she wanted to do was crawl into the safety of our EAMTs’ arms.   Lulu was brought to our Second Chance Animal Hospital™, where our veterinarians thankfully found no major injuries. Lulu, however, was suffering from a doggy cold and needed a few weeks of recovery time with one of our foster parents. Lulu is now in foster care, recuperating and will be ready to find her forever home just in time for the holidays.   Show Lulu and the 121 animals who enter our doors each day some holiday cheer. Fill the holidays with love and stuff a stocking for a pet in need!
