This Adorable, Little Girl Was Only a Few Months Old When She Was Hit by a Car.

A Good Samaritan brought her to a local emergency vet hospital, who then called on the Arizona Humane Society for help.
Shay, as she became known, was picked up along with two other injured strays by our Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™ and brought to Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™, where our medical team discovered that she had suffered serious damage to her left leg as well as an abscess on her chest. After months of continuous medical care, Shay sadly ended up needing to have her leg amputated. But her foster family, who had been nursing her through her injuries, had already fallen in love with her and gave her a forever home. How’s that for holiday cheer? Hundreds of pets just like Shay will spend the holiday season with us waiting for a new place to call home. You can help share some holiday spirit by providing them with food, toys and critical medical care. Make a lifesaving gift today and give hope to homeless and abused animals just like Shay.
