"Paws for Love" for homeless pets

The Arizona Humane Society, along with all 113 Arizona Safeway stores, are partnering for the third annual Paws for Love. Paws for Love is a fundraising campaign that offers Valley pet lovers and shoppers the opportunity to donate to the lifesaving programs and services of AHS at any Safeway store throughout the month of February.   The campaign will feature a Valentine’s kissing booth and adoption event on Friday, February 13. To help celebrate, Safeway will give a free rose to those who stop by the event. The event will also celebrate the joy of pets and pay tribute to those who have triumphed over tragedy and are now ready for adoption.   Paws for Love Valentine’s Kissing Booth and Adoption Event Friday, February 13 from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Safeway - 810 E. Glendale Avenue, Phoenix, AZ, 85020 Kisses available for a $1 minimum donation; adoption fees starting at $250   Paws for Love is the community’s chance to show that neglected animals aren’t really neglected, that homelessness doesn’t equate to heartlessness and that few things heal injuries quite as well as compassion. Last year’s campaign raised $36,000, enough to help care for more than 85 homeless animals.
