New Dog Training Classes

Is walking your dog a struggle? Does your furry friend get overwhelmed in new places? Or is your pet simply ready to become a good citizen? Our new Leash Manners Workshop, Bravery Bootcamp and Canine Good Citizen dog training classes may be the answer for you.   Leash Manners Workshop Dogs aren’t born knowing that they shouldn’t pull ahead or lag behind. They have to be taught to walk nicely on leash, which can be challenging because dogs move faster than us and are excited about exploring outdoors. The Arizona Humane Society is now offering a leash manners class to help make walking your best friend more enjoyable.   This Course is two sessions, and attendance to our free orientation class is required for participation. This class is for dogs 5 months and older at the time of registration.     Bravery Bootcamp Does your dog shake a lot when interacting with new people? Our Bravery Boot Camp is for dogs that are having a hard time adjusting to all of those scary things in life. Class is a 2 week course. Attendance to our free orientation class is required for participation. This class is for dogs 5 months and older at the time of registration.     Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Prep & Certification Is your pup ready to become a Canine Good Citizen? This two-week, 90-minute class, taught by a certified CGC evaluator, is geared towards people and their pups looking to obtain their Canine Good Citizen Certification.   To participate in the prep & certification course, dogs must reliably be able to do the following:   • Sit & down on command • Stay with duration • Come when called • Walk loosely on a leash (without the use of anti-pull equipment)   The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.     Private Training Lessons Is your pup nervous around other pets or large groups of people, or maybe just needs some individual attention? Our one-on-one training sessions are ideal for your loveable pup to learn their basic manners in a private setting.
