The Arizona Humane Society relies on the generous donations you provide to survive and support our thousands of pets in need. But sometimes the greatest gift you can give an animal is time, love and a place to call home. Many of the animals we take in need temporary respite from the shelter as they heal from injury and/or illness. AHS’ foster care program truly expands the walls of our nonprofit organization, as our foster volunteers provide temporary care – and lots of TLC! - for special-needs animals in their own homes.
Who benefits from foster care?
• |
Injured animals who come in through our Second Chance Animal Hospital™ and our EAMT programs |
• |
Animals who catch cold and need a couple weeks to feel like themselves again |
• |
Mamas and underage puppies & kittens |
There is no doubt about it – fostering is an amazing way to help us save animals, and you can involve the whole family! For more information on fostering, please see the
Foster FAQs.
