Humane Education - Critter Chefs

Children ages 8-12 are invited to join AHS Executive Chef Ruthie as she and her colleagues teach them how to make tempting treats for their animal companions during Compassionate Critter Chefs on Saturday, February 23rd from 1-5 p.m. at AHS' Campus For Compassion.   Did you know that even rats can eat cookies? As long as they are homemade and healthy! Attendees will focus on the importance of good nutrition and eating habits for all companion animals. Campers will receive their own, personalized recipe folder containing Chef Ruthie’s favorite tried and true recipes for homemade critter treats, her tips for good pet nutrition, and more surprises to help campers get into the spirit of being a true Critter Chef!   Campers will also participate in a shelter tour, create crafts designed to help our homeless animals find forever homes and meet a very special animal visitor. Attendance is limited for this one-of-a-kind Humane Ed-venture where you can learn directly from a professional chef about how to make sure your animal companions have the very best in compassionate cuisine! Tuition is $35 per camper. Slots are filling up quickly so reserve space for your child today!
