Have we got a deal for Valley animal lovers! The Arizona Humane Society’s shelters are full, full, full and in desperate need to get hundreds of animals adopted in just two days. Currently, 400 animals are awaiting adoption with another 500 just waiting for their turn on the adoption floor.   As part of the ASPCA Rachel Ray $100K Challenge, the Arizona Humane society is hosting a 24-hour adopt-a-thon to help clear our overcrowded shelters. To help more animals find homes, we will be offering amazing adoption deals for all pets July 18-19.

On July 19th, AHS will kennel some of the Valley’s most notable citizens in an effort to raise $50,000. We know not everyone can bring a new pet into their home, but they can help AHS truly empty the shelter by donating toward each participant’s “adoption.”To help support a lock-in participant, visit our Online Lock-In fundraiser page.   AHS is one of 50 shelters who have been chosen to take part in the ASPCA Rachel Ray $100K Challenge in which we are challenged to increase our adoptions in June – August 2014 over June – August of 2013. AHS’ goal is to adopt out 4,048 animals in just 3 months as compared to 3,462 last year; a nearly 20 percent increase. The winning shelter will receive $100,000 for their lifesaving programs and services.
