The Arizona Humane Society believes it’s never too early to learn about the joy of pets. Our expansive, multi-dimensional learning model inspires empathy, teaches children compassion and respect for all animals and instills in them the power that each individual has to create positive change for animals.
Our education camps and workshops cover a wide variety of topics and are designed to reach children of all ages. At AHS, our workshops are designed to equip each attendee with practical tools to better serve animals in their homes, schools and communities.
UPDATE:
Our first-ever Animal Adventure Summer Camp had 29 attendees! Campers met both domestic and exotic pet visitors, created enrichment toys for our shelter animals and learned how they can help homeless animals. Additionally, the kids worked on trick training with AHS dog trainers and got to view a live spay surgery.
