12 News: Heat Safety for Pets
Written by: Kimberly Ring
News Highlights:
Surviving the Arizona heat is always difficult during this time of year, especially for our pets. AHS encourages pet owners to bring their furry friends indoors this summer.
AHS' EAMT™ and Animal Cruelty Investigators responded to 311 cases last week and of those cases, 47% were heat related.
A good rule of thumb to use: If you cannot keep your hand on the ground for 7 seconds, then neither can your pet.
