Animal Ed-Ventures Homeschool is a program developed for homeschool youth that incorporates humane education with STEAM concepts that are aligned with Arizona State standards. These interactive, science-focused education programs will inspire compassion and empathy towards animals and benefit the pets and people of our community.
Program Curriculum Description: Explore the ins and outs of what it takes to keep our pets happy and healthy. Our Jr. Animal Doctors will use mock animal medical examinations to learn how to collect and measure heart rates, temperatures, weights, and more! We’ll also examine ways we can improve the lives of pets by focusing on their mental health!
Animal Ed-Ventures Homeschool programs are held at AHS’ Nina Mason Pulliam South Mountain Campus location the first and third Wednesday of each month. Each program is 1.5 hours and introduces a specific theme each month. Per CDC guidelines, visitors entering AHS property, including those who are fully vaccinated, are required to wear masks to ensure the safety of our staff and customers.
Capacity: Each program will allow 15 participants, who can be accompanied by one adult guardian each or can be picked up following the program. Only the paid participant may attend with one optional adult. Unpaid siblings and additional guests will not be permitted to stay.
